On May 16, 2025, the Technology Clinic under the Research and Development Institute of Chiang Mai Rajabhat University, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Chayanon Sawatdeenarunat, Director of the Institute, partnered with Beyond The Village, led by M.R. Prema Yugala,
to organize a training workshop at Chiang Mai Women’s Correctional Institution.
The workshop focused on the production of PM2.5 air purifiers and the creation of clean-air rooms, aiming to equip participants with valuable skills that could improve their quality of life and provide potential career paths after release.
Participants included:
• Well-behaved inmates
• Inmate assistants
• Individuals nearing release
The event was welcomed by Ms. Wipornpak Kaibunsri, Director of Chiang Mai Women’s Correctional Institution.
The project also prioritizes support for vulnerable groups within the prison, such as:
• Pregnant inmates
• Children living with their mothers
• Elderly inmates, patients, and individuals with disabilities residing in the prison infirmary
Because clean air is a basic human right, and technology should not be limited by prison walls.
16 พ.ค. 2568 คลินิกเทคโนโลยี ภายใต้สถาบันวิจัยและพัฒนา มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏเชียงใหม่ นำโดย ผศ.ดร.ชยานนต์ สวัสดินฤนาท ผู้อำนวยการสถาบันฯ ร่วมกับ Beyond The Village โดย หม่อมราชวงศ์พริมา ยุคล จัดกิจกรรมให้ความรู้และฝึกอบรมการผลิตเครื่องกรองฝุ่น PM2.5 และการสร้างห้องปลอดฝุ่น ณ ทัณฑสถานหญิงเชียงใหม่
กิจกรรมนี้มีเป้าหมายเพื่อส่งเสริมทักษะอาชีพให้แก่
• ผู้ต้องขังชั้นดี
• ผู้ช่วยเจ้าหน้าที่
• ผู้ใกล้พ้นโทษ
เพื่อให้สามารถนำความรู้ไปใช้พัฒนาคุณภาพชีวิตภายในเรือนจำ และต่อยอดเป็นอาชีพภายหลังพ้นโทษ
โดยได้รับเกียรติจาก คุณวิพรพักตร์ ค่ายบุญศรี ผู้อำนวยการทัณฑสถานหญิงเชียงใหม่ ให้การต้อนรับ
โครงการนี้ยังมุ่งเน้นการดูแลกลุ่มเปราะบางภายในเรือนจำ ได้แก่
• ผู้ต้องขังหญิงตั้งครรภ์
• เด็กติดมารดา
• ผู้สูงอายุ ผู้ป่วย และผู้พิการในสถานพยาบาล
เพราะ “อากาศสะอาดคือสิทธิขั้นพื้นฐาน”
และ “เทคโนโลยีไม่ควรถูกจำกัดแค่ภายนอกกำแพง”
