Beyond the Village visited Ban Huai Tong School in Mae Wang District, Chiang Mai, after receiving a request from the school director to provide air purifier units for their kindergarten students.
Ban Huai Tong School is an extended opportunity school, offering education up to lower secondary level, with approximately 220 students, most of whom belong to the Pgakenyaw (Karen) ethnic group.
During our visit, students actively participated in learning how to assemble and install the air purifiers. This hands-on experience will allow them to replicate the process within their school and even extend the initiative to neighboring schools in the future.
